Whether we realize it or not, comedy has always played a significant part in our lives. Besides giving us a well-deserved break from life and its various issues, it opens us up to newer standards for happiness. Comedy works it’s refreshing magic simply by allowing us to see the humour in nearly everything from an open non-biased view.
Oddly enough, the genre forms only a small part of the nominations categories in every award function be it for theatre or films. The contribution of these comedy stars has always been priceless but sadly not acknowledged enough. It is now time to give ‘Comedy’ the respect and love it deserves and an identity of its own. With this aim in mind, Zee Talkies proudly took the unique initiative to celebrate comedy and laughter with the ‘ZEE TALKIES COMEDY AWARDS’! Zee Talkies catered the strong need to fill the gap by launching a dedicated Comedy Awards to pay a tribute to the legacy of comedy that we have in the Industry.
This year the ‘Zee Talkies Comedy Awards 2018’ will be bigger and better. Movies and plays released in between 1st June 2017 to 31st May 2018 can participate and compete in this year’s Zee Talkies Comedy Awards. Apart from Movies and theatre, this year ‘Zee Talkies Comedy Awards’ will also acknowledge the best of Comedy Digital content in the all new ‘BEST COMEDY WEB NIRMITI’ category.
The application form for the same is available on www.zeetalkies/comedy-awards-2018. Participants can submit the entries at Zee Talkies office – Zee Entertainment Enterprises LTD, 16 th floor A wing Marathon Futurex, N.M. Joshi Marg, Lower Parel Mumbai 400013. 5 th July 2018 is the deadline for the same. So Be a part of the most entertaining, fun and pioneering awards show by sending in your entries at the earliest.
