Now, this is an experiment that hasn’t happened in Marathi cinema. Though, marathi cinema is taking strides ahead and a few path breaking films are made every year, we haven’t had a film shot entirely on iPhone 6 and that is the novelty of the upcoming marathi film ‘Adults Only’ directed by Milind Kavde.
The film is being produced by Amit Dhupe of Seven Horse Entertainment. Ajay Thakur who has produced films like ‘Tani’ and ‘Phuntroo’ is a creative producer for the film. Ajay Thakur believes that this isn’t an experiment just for experiment’s sake, but it is the demand of the story and the subject. The aim is to make something very fresh and interesting.
Director Milind Kavde has made films like ‘Yedyanchi Jatra’, ‘Four Idiots’, ‘Just Gammat’, ‘Shinma’ before and it can be seen that he has made film with varied subjects. The hatke subject of ‘Adults Only’ has gone a long way in creating a buzz for the film.
Milind Kavde says that he has always tried to explore a fresh subject for his films. ‘Adults Only’ is also a hitherto unexplored subject and he felt that it did not need any fancy cameras, but a iPhone 6 would suffice. He has extensively researched the matter and is confident of it. He has finalized the technical team and shall start with shooting the film soon.
