Pipsi, a Marathi film, that traces the adventures of 2 innocent kids is Releasing on 27th July 2018 all across Maharashtra. Produced and Presented by Vidhi Kasliwal of Landmarc Films; Pipsi’s Trailer was recently launched amongst the students of Holy Family High School in Andheri, Mumbai.
During the trailer launch event, the protagonists – Chaani (Maithili Patwardhan) and Balu (Sahil Joshi) chatted and interacted with the school children. The students were enthralled by the trailer and the endearing friendship of the kids shown in it, they went on to enjoy the fun interaction with Maithili and Sahil and the rest of the Pipsi team as well.
Set in rural Maharashtra, Pipsi gives us a glimpse of the ways of the world through the eyes of the two children, it is the story of eight-year-old Chaani, who embarks on a journey of hope to save her ailing mother with the unflinching belief that the fate of her mother is tied to the life of a fish she names ‘Pipsi’. And her best friend, Balu is her constant support through this exciting endeavour.
Written by Saurabh Bhave, directed by Rohan Deshpande, Omkar Kulkarni is the lyricist and Debarpito has scored the music for Pipsi. The perspective of the children and the innocent conclusions drawn by them are presented very well in the trailer that catches one’s attention from the word go.
Pipsi is definitely a film for children, but the two lovable protagonists and their take on life, make it a definite viewing for family audiences as well. We hope that this journey of hope will be enjoyed on July 27 all across Maharashtra by one and all.
